We chartered many times in Greece in the past years and sometimes appened to have a bad experience regarding the charter company or the boat conditions, and this was often when we chose a big company in a big marina. You are the client number X, and after a quick check in you are left alone to find out the problems of your boat with nobody to complain with, and if the problems are big you only have to wait and waist precious time of your short holiday on a jetty... Then we came across in Kefalonia Sailing and we had one of the best chartering experience ever. We had a wonderful one week charter in October sailing from Sami around the Ionian Islands. We chartered San Giorgio, I beautiful 2017 Lagoon 42 which was luxury indeed. We set sale with 2 families on board to explore the Ionian and had the most wonderful holiday visiting beautiful bays with turquoise seas as well as amazing villages like Fiskardo. Spiros was extremely helpful and a pleasure to charter from, always quick to respond to any questions and make sure we had the best possible time, we also had support from the owner which was much appreciated on a couple of technical problems. I can’t recommend Kefalonia Sailing more highly. Spiros looked after us brilliantly despite very difficult circumstances. I think they offer the best prices as well. We originally booked on a flotilla with six people and two boats for the beginning of June. Covid put a stop to that, but Spiros was very happy to move the booking to late September. Then two of our party decided they couldn’t come anyway, but Spiros found us a boat for the 4 of us. A week before we were due to arrive there was a massive storm and some of the company’s boats were sunk compromising the holiday. Spiros found us another boat and attached us to a new flotilla. We had a great time while out sailing. They were fantastic from start to finish. Very highly recommended. (September 2020)
Spiros managed to find us possibly the last available boat in Greece for our last minute charter, the boat evidently came across from Levkas especially for us ! It was the most personal service we have received in many years of chartering., Spiros was very friendly from our first email and answered all of our questions. and the boat was good value too..Shaking hands in a car park could only happen in Greece!. If you have any concerns about moving away from the big companies, have no fear everything was great. We have chartered many times in the Ionian but it made a real change to start and finish in Kefalonia, so much easier to reach our favourite places both on this island and on Ithaka.. We did have a problem with the boat on the last day, the back up service came to our aid and after an unscheduled visit to Fiscardo we were on our way after lunch . The offer of dinner that evening was above and beyond what we would expect and the experience would give us,peace of mind to charter with this company again. We had a wonderful sailing holiday June 2018. Thanks to Spiros, with exceptional and warm asssitance. Our Bavaria Cruiser 41 2017 was in perfect condition, kept extremely clean, all in perfect working order. Teh skipper provided excellent job, My deep thanks to Spiros and skipper too.
